Calling all Schipperke lovers! Are you a Belgian breed lover? Battie is like a 10 pound Belgian Malinois. A big dog in a tiny package. She was taken from a local 60-Dog hoarding case. Battie was in a local government shelter in VA for 6 months. It is a kill-shelter, but the girls there would not give up on her. She was transferred to us last month and has made a lot of progress. Battie was poorly socialized and doesn’t like to be handled. She has never bit aggressively, but she tries to dodge all human hand contact if there is no play involved. She loves to play fetch and tug, though, and sleeps close to people on the couch or bed. She enjoys company of people and dogs, but just not touch. As you can imagine, that makes her a hard one to adopt. If you love this breed and are up for a training challenge, message us!
