Ready for Adoption: Daphne!

Daphne came to WAG yesterday as a transfer from our friends at the local government shelter. She will need to be spayed vaccinated before she is ready to go. Daphne is quiet and demure. A very reserved girl who would do well even with an older couple. She is a Blue Tick Hound and naturally athletic so would be a great hiking or camping buddy. Daphne likely has never lived in a home before and will need a patient and understanding adopter who is willing to allow her time to adjust. Hounds are known to do well in town homes and even apartments if they are given opportunities throughout the day to burn that urge to run. Daphne is a quiet dog and could easily adjust to city life.

Since we often work with the rescues from Kuwait, we are quite familiar with the rising numbers of dumped pets around the Middle Eastern holidays such as Ramadan. Well, the same thing happens in the USA. With Thanksgiving and Christmas approaching, the shelters have filled up. Rescue is a small community and our friends at the government shelters reach out to all venues in attempts to prevent euthanasia. WAG believes in saving lives. Even those close to home.

Daphne is scared of gunshots and will not be adopted to anyone looking for a hunting companion. Her adoption fee is $350. Please message us if you’d like to adopt Daphne!
