Following up on some great leads/inquiries!! Thank you all for caring about Scooter!! He is wonderful with everyone except he is obsessed with cats and completely stresses them out. Unfortunately, his first 2 fosters both have kitties. :(
Sweet Scooter can’t catch a break. He desperately needs a foster or adopter ASAP!! We have only had one person step up since his original foster withdrew, and they have now backed out and want him moved IMMEDIATELY. :(((
This is all so unfair to poor Scooter, a special needs guy who has done nothing wrong to cause this situation. He was found as a stray, already paralyzed in his back legs. He drags himself around very well with his front legs, was given a generous gift of a cart by a local nonprofit, and is now looking for someone who will stand by him and help him adjust. Scooter has had physical and laser therapy and has made impressive progress, but was deemed to not be a candidate for surgery to repair the spinal injury. He willingly wears a belly band to catch pee dribbles and gets around like a champ.
We will cover all of his medical expenses, so if you have ever wanted to make a huge difference in the life of a deserving pup, this is your chance. Scooter is as sweet as they come, loves everyone, is good with other dogs and is available now. He is in the Morgantown, WV area, but we will travel for a good, secure place for him.
