WARNING: Graphic and Disturbing
Yesterday, after 3 successful adoptions that took an entire day of volunteer time by 2 volunteers (not to mention weeks leading up to the point of adoption), WAG was contacted by a well-meaning person and told we should be more transparent.
We try to spare you the transparency. We try to spare you the graphic images of the suffering animals that the BFG team finds everyday. We know people would rather see them cute, adoptable, happy, cuddled in beds and wearing sweaters.
We try to spare you our drama of thousands of dollars in vet bills just to make them healthy enough to fly, then again on arrival to make them perfect enough to adopt.
Take a good long look at these videos. Those little dogs in a cage? Cooking on the pavement? That could be your next pet. The husky tied with heavy chain in a hot crowded truck? That could be your next running partner. The dying Saluki? Let’s just hope she lives.
We have vet bills. We have many we can’t save. We have adoption fees to help cover this. We ask for donations to help with the rest. We could bore you and waste our own time proving what we do with photos of bills, or we can simply show you photos of the 70+ dogs we have saved since August, and countless cats still in Kuwait waiting. We hope our work speaks for itself.
If you can, please donate.
Thank you for your support,
Amy (Founder AND Volunteer)
