Aurora
After being found near the Iraq/Kuwait desert over 2 years ago, Aurora is finally in the USA. She was paralyzed and left for dead, but our friends in Kuwait, BFG Team, never gave up on her. Never. For 2 years they continued to care for her, always hoping there would be something better for her than sand and heat. A husky deserves better than a desert. Recently we were able to help her get to the USA (thank you, Lynne and several others!) but that's not all we want to do! We want to give her the best possible quality of life.Aurora went to the vet for preliminary X-rays. One of her rear legs is broken, the bone is twisted entirely around, and then healed in that position. She has lost all feeling in that leg. However, the other has total feeling and some movement! Her spine has a very bad bend where it is possibly broken/fuzed. We are not sure if she will ever walk again, but we want to give it our best try. And if not, we want to make it easier for her to get around. Possibly amputation of the severely broken leg. A wheel cart has been sponsored for her (the one she had in Kuwait was too big). But we need a sponsor for her therapy sessions. This could be around $500 a month depending on how much therapy we can do with her. Also, it would be wonderful to get an MRI and see if there is a possibility that she could have her spine repaired.
If you would like to be Aurora's Angel, please post below or email us! We need a committed sponsor! If you can donate, even a little, please donate here and type "Aurora" in the notes. If you feel you are the perfect home for our very special girl, please email us as well. Thank you for all the support and kindness. It doesn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.
